In a shocking turn of events, it’s already Memorial Day Weekend - yes, I know it was just New Year’s last week. In honor of the unofficial kick-off of summer 2025, I made a Summer 2025 Playlist for you all to enjoy while you’re pre-gaming, sitting poolside, or wherever your summer endeavors take you - this playlist will be sure to make it a summer that’s Too Pop to Handle.

This week I’m adding a new writing location to the list: the sky (shout out Delta free WiFi). I’m headed to New Orleans for the weekend for a wedding and can’t wait to eat my weight in beignets and drink in the street. One thing about me? I love an open container-friendly city.

I think I’ve watched The Devil Wears Prada on every flight I’ve taken in my adult life.
In addition to this week’s newsletter coming at you from the sky, I’m also going to let the playlist speak for this week and take an OOO on the pop culture segment of the newsletter - SORRY!! It’s been a busy week prepping for my trip + at the rodeo chitlin’ circuit….
Anyway, we went to the Cowboy Carter tour on Thursday night, and to nobody’s surprise: I was left speechless. This was my eighth time seeing Beyoncé and every single time she just outdoes herself. The vocals, the production, the choreography, the HAIR!!!
I’m going again *twice* next week + we’ll chat more about it on the podcast, but WOW. We are so lucky to be alive at the same time as Beyoncé.
We (my boyfriend and I) have also been on a HUGE TV kick this week. We binged all of Benito Skinner’s new comedy ‘Overcompensating’ in a day (absolutely loved it - add this to your list if you want an easy, silly watch that will also make you cringe a little) as well as all of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season one and have already dipped into season two (we’re hooked, these girls are reality TV gold).
