Miley Cyrus shouts out Nick Jonas, AOC drags Trump and Elon, and Wicked: For Good is going to change my life.
PLUS my week with Addison Rae at Electric Lady Studios, Miley Cyrus at Rough Trade, and Cynthia Erivo at Republic Records.
Addison Rae once said “Love New York, Love New York, Love New York, Love New York” and I could not agree more. Some weeks, living in NYC feels like you’re stuck in a routine a la Squidward in Squidville, but then there are weeks like this where you end up having a dance party in Electric Lady studios with Addison Rae. Let’s rewind a bit.
I started my week in one of the most exciting ways: ending my unemployment era, but more than that - with a job I’m ACTUALLY excited about (which has never happened). I’m so excited to tell you guys that I have joined the team at MTV + Paramount for the summer as an Associate Producer on the VMAs this summer!!!!
As somebody who treats the VMAs like a holiday, this is truly a “pinch-me”, dream come true and I can’t wait to see what this summer has in store. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, I spent Monday night with Cynthia Erivo hearing her new album “I Forgive You” with about 25 other fans at Republic Records’ exclusive listening party.

The event was so well done and it was so fab getting to ask Cynthia about her writing process and production choices as we listened to the album with her in the room. More about the event + my thoughts on the album.
Wednesday was my first day in the office which was very exciting for someone who previously worked in an office mainly by himself and as if your first day at the Paramount office isn’t exciting enough, I spent my night with Miley Cyrus and Addison Rae. Talk about too pop to handle….

Miley performed three songs at Rough Trade, followed by a signing for her new album “Something Beautiful”, which I think is some of the absolute best work she’s ever put out. Knowing she’ll probably never do a full tour again, I’ll jump at any opportunity to see her perform, and trust me when I say: the mic is always on.
After I wrapped up with Ms. MC, I headed downtown to cross something major off my bucket list: going to Electric Lady Studios. If you know, you know. This has always seemed like somewhere I would have no business being inside, so when I saw the email from Addison Rae’s team that I was invited to a listening party for her debut album hosted at Electric Lady Studios, I nearly passed away.
The studio was as cool on the inside as you would imagine. The walls were lined with framed albums that had been recorded there such as Melodrama, Motomami, The Tortured Poets Department, Short n’ Sweet, etc… It seriously felt surreal being there.

As for the event itself? Perfection. The room was full of folding chairs with different colored “Addison” branded pillows, we each got a set of tarot cards that were themed to match the album, and it was decorated with giant bouquets of wildflowers throughout the room. We got to hear Addison’s entire album with her and her team and dance around Electric Lady while she kicked around on the floor, screamed, and danced with us. It was absolutely one of the best moments of my life and I’ll never forget it.
ENOUGH ABOUT ME. This week on the podcast we discussed Reneé Rapp’s Cosmo cover and AMA performance, Taylor Swift owning her masters, JoJo Siwa’s new man, and more.

Miley Cyrus declares “Niley for life!” on Every Single Album podcast
Be still my millennial heart: Miley Cyrus is talking about Nick Jonas in the year 2025. During her episode of “Every Single Album” Miley opened up about her relationship with Nick Jonas stating ““I like Nick… I’m into him.. he’s like married with children, we’re all moving on..,NILEY for life!”
Like most of us, Nick and Miley’s relationship was everything to me growing up (right up there with Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens) so hearing her mention him on this podcast sparked something so deeply rooted in my brain. May we never forget the 2018 Grammy’s when Nick commented a red heart on Miley’s red carpet photo and sent us all into a spiral. Miley also talked a ton about how much she loves Lindsay Lohan which is equally as important to me.
AOC says “the girls are fighting”, except the girls are literally our president and Elon Musk
I really try to not mention Tr*mp on my podcast or newsletter, but this is just too good not to talk about. If you somehow missed it, Elon and Trump have ended their bromance. Elon took their beef to Twitter and just let him have it all day yesterday, but my favorite part of the entire saga is AOC responding like the queen she is when asked about it.
Can you say queen behavior? Personally, I’m dying to see the text chain between her and Kamala from yesterday.
Freakier Friday AND Wicked: For Good trailers dropped and I’m not okay
If you know me, you know that I am the most excited human being on planet Earth for Freakier Friday to come out this August. We got the first official full-length trailer this week and it solidified how badly I need this movie, and I need it now.
When the teaser dropped a few months ago, a lot of people weren’t sure what the movie is about and were confused by the 4-way-swap we get this time around VS the 2-way-swap like the original, but I think this trailer will clear up the plot for everyone.
Additionally, we got the official trailer for Wicked: Fod Good and I think my boyfriend and I have watched it 300 times in 48 hours. I had the time of my life covering the Wicked press tour last year and am beyond ready to do it all again this year.
